Dear Christian friend,

(← Click to enlarge.) Please consider enrolling in our next course, and also share this with people in your church!

How many poor or disabled people actually attend your church? How many are in your city? Why don't you have a greater percentage of them attending your church than are in your city? That's what Christ commanded: to bring "the poor, lame, maimed and blind" so that His house would be full (Luke 14:12-13 and 21)! That means when your church members become disabled, don't just abandon them to the government: organize a team to take them to church, shopping, to the doctor, and make your church building accessible for them! Remember: only about 5% of those you invite to church will come, but 100% of those you take to church will come!

Notice how the likelihood of disability increases with age: as shown here, it's about 10% of working-age adults, for those 65-74, about 35% are disabled; for those 85 and up, it's about 70%! How can we more effectively minister to these people in our church and society at large, as Christ commanded us to do? Take our training! Check out our upcoming free (click →) . It will start on the following Monday. (This gives us time to gather all enrollment applications, add the people to our login file, and send them their User-IDs and passwords.)

This course is part of our free six-course, one-year program "Social Ministry of the Church." Please download, print and distribute our SMC-brochure.pdf - it shows all our courses. And go to Our Curriculum to see it online!

The "Welcome" page to our courses is at www.Agape-Restoration-Society.org/welcome, where it explains that prospective students can see how our interactive courses work: you can browse the lessons without logging in ...or you can login as "guest" to try out our lessons and send in your answers, and you'll also see an "ENROLL" link there.

When you ENROLL, you can participate in a structured class keeping to a schedule, taking part in group discussions, getting graded replies for your answers to each lesson, and upon (we hope) completion of all six courses receiving a certificate. Our 20-year experience teaching online has proven that people who study with a group of other students on a regular schedule tend to stick with it much more than those who try to study our lessons solo with no schedule.

Attention, pastors and deacons: In the last paragraph of our "Welcome" page you'll read the following -
"Click HERE* to see three ways you can help teach these courses:
      1. You simply observe, and we teach the entire course,
      2. You lead your discussion group and we grade the lessons,
      3. You lead your discussion group and grade the lessons.
(You can also use our software to create your own courses.)"

*The above "HERE" link takes you to our "Disciple All Nations" course development system. It explains in detail how the pastor or deacon can monitor or take part in the courses along with people in your church. We want you to know what we're teaching, and if possible participate! The menu button in the upper-left corner there has a link to the "Design Philosophy" page where you can download this easy-to-use system so you can see how to create your own online courses.

If you know how to type, you should be able to create an online lesson in an hour or so, or you can simply copy-and-paste any existing lectures into our template and use our pop-up "wizards" to add student interactions and questions. Our software is simple, using Skype or Google Groups, off-the-shelf freeware and ten fill-in-the-blanks popups that create three kinds of instant interactions, multiple-choice single-answer, multiple-choice multiple-answer, matching, true-false, yes-no, essay and one-line questions, all with audio and visual feedback or pop-ups, and open-book or closed-book exams.

It took me many weeks to create and refine the lesson templates, over 12,000 lines of code that generate these popups, and the exams, but I'm giving them to you for free. You're welcome to use it on your church's website, or pass it on to a seminary or other school.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to read this, and hopefully to check out and recommend our courses!

Your fellow-servant,

"Dr. Bob"
